COVID-19 - Update from Biberach
Dear all,
Just to let you know how the Corona situation is here in Biberach. There are some people who are positive tested and many are in quarantine. All who are coming back from holidays or had contact to any people who could be infected have to stay at home.
Since Tuesday, all schools and kindergartens are closed until April 19th. Since Wednesday also, all shops except food shops, bakereries, butchers, pharmacies etc. are closed. Many people work in home office but also in short-time work.
Since today, all restaurants are closed, only Take-aways or Delivery service is allowed. Gatherings of people are forbidden, in Baden-Württemberg only three people can stand together. That had to be ordered by the authorities because so many people did not listen to the recommendations and went still out and young people had Corona-Parties!!!
All church services are cancelled until April 20th, so we will not have Easter Services.
On Monday the town administration will decide about events after April 20th. I fear that the remembering ceremony cannot take place at the Lindele Liberation Day.
I do not know if the visit of the Symphonic Orchestra in June and the Biberach Kantorei Choir in July can travel to Guernsey as planned and by now it is doubtful if the Schuetzenfest can take place.
I read that in Guernsey are twenty people Corona positive and I hope the plague will not spread more. Please stay at home whenever it is possible and take care that you all will stay healthy.
